Blog 1: Team Formation

The final teams for the Lights on Stratford installations were revealed in class. Our group consists of Harry, Tyler, Vehara, Vanshika, Shreya, Adrien, Mariam, Rei, and Alice, with Harry’s project being chosen to be developed.

For our first meeting as the Fading of the Swan team, we debriefed on the project concept and then divided ourselves into teams for media creation, communications and marketing, and tech, with Tyler acting as our project manager.

We had some deadlines coming up the next week so the first thing we did was get our social media platforms sorted out. We ended up choosing Instagram and Facebook because they are the most commonly used platforms in Stratford and amongst different age groups.

The media creation team also started working on logo designs and some of the assets for the installation. We encountered some issues early on with a member of the team going MIA so we were a bit behind in terms of having a style guide and having assets to use in our social media posts.
